Our KAYU Burger Bang

Geeees....no one has any idea how many times I bypassed KAYU Burger Bang. Devi and I took noticed of him when I was working in KL. We usually will stop by at his stall after picking me up from the bus station, “tapau” his burger and head home....what can I say bout bang’s KAYU burger except.....YUMMY & AWESOME!!!

Now when you meet bang, don’t expect a friendly smile and a welcome note of thank you for stopping by for his burgers....bang has an outstanding poker face...a face I wish I could borrow for my next poker session....and if you’re able to crack a smile on our bang....kudos to you and next beer is on me!

My personal favourite would be the “daging dengan telur” and Devi’s “daging biasa”.....both without mayonnaise.... The meat is cooked just right with his own secret ingredients and he does not go all “amuk” with the tomato/chilli sauce....so what you’ll have is a well not soggy perfectly cooked burger

Bang’s stall is right next to KAYU NASI KANDAR located a stone-away from Vistana Hotel Penang.  Opens around 6-7 pm and closes around 2am....he works solo so expect some delays....but don’t be despair....just flip your attention to KAYU and be amazed about how much business they get....I mean....damn....that place is full house almost all the time everyday!!!!....are you kidding me????...plus if you know KAYU’s price list....automatically you can roughly calculate how much they make a day....heck....half a day....

You could just only hope by the time you have the “number” all figured out and before that “number” sips in completely, bang will say “sudah siap”....he could spare you from dreaming about the debts you can pay off cash, the dream car you can buy cash, your 5000 square feet condo you pay cash and how would want to write your resignation letter....

Word of caution, the size of the burger is pretty small so for big eaters like me, we need to order 2 just for ourselves....Enjoy.....

Bang – short word for “Abang” meaning brother

Tapau – Meaning pack the food

Amuk – Go bananas....go crazy
